Amadou actually is actually made up from a mushroom. When flies get wet and soggy the spongy water-absorbing properties of Amadou soaks up the water and makes your flies fishable again. Amadou fly patches have been around forever but were kind of forgotten. Loon has brought it back and with good reason, it works great! Simply squeeze your water-logged fly between the pads and the water gets absorbed into the patch. Add your favorite fly floatant and you're ready to rock again.
