RIO's Checkmate Fly

RIO's Checkmate fly pattern is a good sized, 4" long fly pattern with loads of movement and tied in attractive colors.  This fly pattern was designed specifically for king/chinook salmon and also works great for aggressive steelhead and silver/coho salmon.  RIO Checkmate flies have a decent sink rate on their own and can be helped down even further, faster with sinking tips.  A #1 sized stinger hook is connected to the shank via 44lb RIO SlickShooter for strength and reliability.
