A bold, fishy streamer built to grab attention and trigger aggressive muskies, pike and other predators.
Brian Smolinski's Misfit Muppet fly from Montana Fly Company is a killer, large size musky fly born in Wisconsin for our state fish - the mighty muskellunge. The Misfit Muppet fly is great fished in both rivers and lakes, it's large profile and swimmy action make it just as effective probing timber on river banks as it is fishing deep weed lines in lakes. Also a great fly pattern for chasing trophy size northern pike. Available in colors that will work in both stained and clear water.
Like most large, naturally buoyant musky flies we recommend fishing these musky flies on a sinking tip or full sinking fly line of some kind.
Approximately 11" long.
The Smolinski's Misfit Muppet brings a large yet reasonably castable fly design that can confidently be fished anywhere you're chasing muskies. High confidence patterns keep you from frequently changing your flies and keep your fly where it should be when chasing a tough species - in the water.
