The Redington Factor Fly Reel delivers dependable performance, lightweight handling, and a feature-packed design at an approachable price. Built for anglers who want a hardworking fly reel without paying a premium, the Factor combines a sealed carbon fiber disc drag, large-arbor design, and durable die-cast aluminum construction for smooth, reliable performance across a wide range of fly fishing situations.
At the heart of the Factor is an improved sealed carbon fiber drag system designed to keep water and debris out while delivering smooth, consistent stopping power. Its broad adjustment range provides the control needed to protect light tippets while still supplying plenty of muscle when a hard-running fish puts the reel to work.
The lightweight large-arbor spool provides fast line pickup, helping anglers quickly recover slack and stay connected when fish change direction or make a run. An O-ring press-fit spool release adds simplicity and helps keep the reel low-maintenance, while the snag-free drag knob and radiused reel foot contribute to clean, trouble-free performance on the water.
The Redington Factor is an excellent choice for price-conscious anglers looking for a balanced setup with dependable everyday performance. Whether you're fishing smaller trout streams, larger Western rivers, or putting together a versatile fly fishing outfit, the Factor offers an impressive combination of low weight, durability, drag performance, and value.
The Factor stands out for its performance-to-price ratio. Its sealed drag offers a significant durability advantage over an unsealed system, while the large-diameter arbor improves line pickup and helps anglers stay in control of fast-moving fish. Redington reinforces that performance with a lightweight aluminum architecture designed to balance structural strength with reduced weight.
For anglers seeking an affordable fly reel with a sealed drag, large arbor, lightweight construction, and reliable stopping power, the Redington Factor Fly Reel brings together the features that matter most in a versatile reel built to work hard season after season.
