This new 11wt rod from Echo is designed specifically to chuck big flies for muskies and pike and all of the other challenges the fish of 10,000 casts present. Echo teamed up with some of the Midwest’s most musky obsessed fly anglers to develop this new tool for chasing these fish. Built to handle powerful sinking musky lines, these rods also have specialized extended grip handles and butt handles for more comfortable casting leverage and boatside figure-8s. Available in two lengths, the longer 9’4” 11wt is perfect for higher gunnelled boats and the shorter 8’8” 11wt provides a better option for closer to the water fishing. Oversized stripping guides let chunky, high mass lines fly through easily and allow the occasional line knot space as well. The extended grip handle not only provides more casting leverage but has variably placed “humps” so you can find your own sweet spot for casting. Like all Echo rods, the new Musky model includes a hard rod tube and Echo’s lifetime warranty.
