Eggs are a staple of salmon and steelhead fly boxes. Simple but effective, they get fished from the west to east coast for ocean and lake-run trout. We use the smaller sizes for our spring creek trout here in Wisconsin, too. Great as a trailer fly behind a heavier streamer or nymph like the Rubber Leg Hot Head.

These Glo-Bugs are absolutely incredible! I recently moved here and looked up the Fly Fishers Shop and decided I’d check it out. The staff was awesome and also gave me some tips on where to fish and what to use. I drifted a single chartreuse glo-bug on my fly rod this past spring and continually broke my PB (personal best) three times. The best part: I caught them all on the same glo-bug! The hook never bent, broke, nor did the feather material rip or fall apart.
Due to COVID-19 the shop closed as did many other fishing shops. However, the staff allowed me to place my order online and set it outside for me to pick up curb-side. I give these glo-bugs a 5 star rating and I can’t wait to head back to the store when it physically reopens!
