Celebrate five decades of Tom Rosenbauer at Orvis with a truly special edition of one of fly fishing’s most refined rods. The Orvis Helios F Rosenbauer Limited Edition Fly Rod honors Tom’s lifetime of helping anglers become better, more thoughtful fly fishers, and his enduring role as Orvis’s Chief Fly Fishing Enthusiast. Limited to just 300 rods each with numbered rod sock, this signature Helios is as much at home on the water as it is in a collection.
Built on Tom Rosenbauer’s personal favorite 9' 4-weight Helios F-series blank, this limited-edition fly rod delivers the accuracy, feel, and precision that define the Helios series. The 4-weight configuration makes it a compelling choice for anglers who appreciate the touch and control of a presentation-focused trout rod, while the distinctive appointments give this edition a character all its own. Tom's also gone with a full olive rod blank for a Helios that looks distinctively its own.
Every detail reflects Tom’s understated style. A cigar-style cork grip, similar to the classic Superfine Graphite grip, offers a traditional look and feel. PVD-coated nickel-silver reel seat hardware pairs beautifully with a stained maple burl spacer, creating an elegant, timeless finish. The rod is accompanied by an equally distinctive stained maple burl wood tube handcrafted by Wayward Trading Post.
With only 300 produced, the Rosenbauer Edition Helios F is far more than a commemorative fly rod. It’s a fishable tribute to one of the most influential educators and ambassadors in modern fly fishing, combining Tom Rosenbauer’s preferred Helios configuration with special details worthy of the occasion.
