Scientific Anglers Fly Line Cleaner

As you use your fly line, its going to naturally get dirty. Casting from the bank of the river, casting into the surface from a beach, and scum on top of the water are just a few of the many ways your fly line picks up dirt. This dirt that accumulates over time will retain water causing your fly line to not cast as well or float as high in the water, brining down the overall performance. 

Scientific Anglers Fly Line Cleaner removes the dirt from your fly line, restoring its performance and making your time on the water more enjoyable. This cleaner was specifically designed for lines with AST and AST+ coatings, but it still works great for all other lines as well!

Directions:

Fill a bucket with about one gallon of lukewarm water, add a few drops of the cleaner and let the line soak for 5-10 minutes. As you pull the fly line out of the water, pinch it between the abrasive side of a Scientific Anglers Cleaning Pad and strip the line out. Give it a quick rinse with warm water and let it dry. You're line will know move through your rods guides smoother and be more hydrophobic, meaning it will float higher in the water!
