Olson's Slider is a very effective tarpon fly. I've used them on our Mexico trips for both babies and migratory tarpon. What we have found though is that the Olson Slider is a great bass fly for both smallmouth and largemouth bass.

The fly hovers in the current for river smallmouth and has lots of great action as well. It can be fished as a streamer or grease it up and fish it on top. Lakes or rivers this a very effective bass fly fishing fly. The same goes for saltwater fly fishing.
