ABSORBING HARMFUL HIGH-ENERGY BLUE LIGHT (HEV):

Clarity is increased when blur and haze are cut through HEV light being absorbed.  HEV light absorption, in addition to 100% UV light protection, through 580 lenses helps prevent macular degeneration, cataracts, pterygium, and other harmful eye diseases.

ENHANCING REDS, GREENS AND BLUES

Costa Del Mar 580 lenses get their name from blocking the harsh yellow light at 580nm on the visible light spectrum.  When this harsh yellow light is blocked, the amount of red, green and blue colors are naturally boosted to enhance contrast and colors.
