Rubber Leg Squirrel Nymph

Dave Whitlock’s Rubber Leg Squirrel Nymph is one of The Fly Fishers favorite nymph flies. In smaller sizes we fish it like a traditional trout nymph. In the bigger sizes we use it fly fishing for panfish and as a dropper fly below a bass popper when fly fishing smallmouth bass. The size 6 Rubber Leg Squirrel Nymph is one of our favorite carp flies when fly fishing the flats of Lake Michigan for carp.
