I was intending to purchase a reel that was made here in the US. While I would have liked to do that, I couldn't justify spending $500 for a fly reel. Instead, I bought this Echo reel. I am very impressed. I like to large arbor, I also like the easy to adjust drag and I really can't find any problems with it. Quite a good value for the buck.
